MELKSHAM SCOUT GROUP AGM and BBQ
When: Saturday, 6th May
Where: Jubilee Wood, just off the A350, near Steeple Ashton
The AGM coincides with Melksham Scout Group’s ‘turn’ to help out at the District Camp Site. This site is dedicated for the use of local area Scout and Guide groups and has been slowly transformed from a muddy, farmer’s field, into a tree-screened venue, with washing and cooking facilities, as well as more fun stuff, such as a BMX track and obstacle course. There is still plenty to do, so if you are able to help out, even if only for an hour or two, please do come along (with some old clothes).
Work, a bluebell walk, and a chance for the kids to try out the obstacle course will take place between 10am and 4pm, with a break for a free BBQ lunch and the AGM in the middle. Do come along, see what the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have been up to this past year and enjoy a burger.
