Welcome to Melksham Scouts!

Welcome to Melksham Scouts!

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We bring communities together and contribute to society. Above all, we aim to build better futures.

Each week almost half a million young people across the UK enjoy fun, friendship and outdoor adventure. They develop a sense of optimism and strong values as well as the leadership and teamwork skills that are more valuable today than ever.

In Melksham, we offer a weekly engaging programme of activities and events to develop skills in young people from 6 – 18 years and have successfully delivered this for over 100 years!

As a group, we aim to be at the heart of the community in Melksham, with our hall being available for use by the wider community, the Group being involved in local community events.

Remembrance Parade – 2016

As usual Melksham Scout Group has been invited to take part in the Remembrance Parade through Melksham on Sunday 13th November. The parade is scheduled to start at 1430 so please be at King Street car park for 1400. There is then the usual church service and wreath laying ceremony and we should be back at the car park for around 1630, this depends how quickly the police shut the roads.
Full uniform should be worn with black school trousers and shoes please. Parents can watch the parade along the route but there won’t be access to St Michaels church as seating here is reserved.
